1. Who we are
Atlas is a fitness and nutrition app operated by Gambit Solutions (“Gambit”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what the Atlas app and this website collect and how that information is used.
2. Information you provide
- Account: your email address and password. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is not readable by us.
- Adult confirmation: a yes/no confirmation during setup that you are 18 or over.
- Preferences: dietary preferences, allergens, ingredients you dislike, kitchen equipment, a budget preference and favourite cuisines, if you choose to enter them.
- Pantry: the ingredients you mark as available.
- Saved recipes and shopping lists: recipes you save, and the shopping lists you build, including which items you have ticked off.
- Free-text requests: if you type a request in your own words (for example, “high-protein dinner under 600 calories”), that text is processed to turn it into filters (see “Service providers”).
Atlas does not ask for medical records, a diagnosis, your weight, or any other health data, and it does not connect to health apps or wearables.
The nutrition targets you enter when searching for meals (for example, minimum protein or a calorie ceiling) are used to find meals on your device and in your session.
3. Information generated through use
- Subscription status: whether Atlas Pro is active, in a free trial, or ended, and its dates, as reported by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment card details.
- AI usage counter: a count of free-text requests per day per account, used to apply fair-use limits.
- On your device: your sign-in session and a few local app settings are stored on your device so you stay signed in.
Analytics: the app records product events internally so analytics can be added later, but at the time of writing these events are not sent off your device and no third-party analytics service is active.
Atlas does not request access to your location, contacts, camera or photos.
4. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To match meals to your targets and restrictions, build your pantry and shopping list, and save your recipes.
- To confirm whether your Atlas Pro subscription is active.
- To apply fair-use limits to free-text requests, and to keep the service secure and working.
- To respond to support and deletion requests.
5. Service providers (processors)
We use these providers to run Atlas. They process information on our behalf:
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in (account, preferences, pantry, saved recipes, shopping lists, subscription status, usage counter).
- RevenueCat manages Atlas Pro subscription status. Your Atlas account ID is used as your RevenueCat customer ID.
- Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) process purchases and subscriptions under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Anthropic (an AI provider) receives the text of a free-text request, together with Atlas’s list of recipe vocabulary, so it can be converted into structured filters. It is not sent your account records. Meal recommendations themselves are calculated by Atlas’s own rules, not by the AI.
- Vercel hosts this website.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retailers and affiliate links
Atlas can link you to retailers (for example noon). When you tap a link, the retailer’s website or app opens and the retailer’s own privacy policy applies. Some links are affiliate links; they are labelled, and we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not decide which meals Atlas recommends.
Atlas does not share your account details, pantry or preferences with retailers.
7. Retention
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your Atlas account data is deleted (see below).
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or ask us to delete it without opening the app. Deletion is permanent. It removes your sign-in, profile and preferences, pantry, saved recipes, shopping lists, usage counter and subscription-status record, and your customer record at RevenueCat. Full details are on the Delete account page.
Deleting your Atlas account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel that separately with Apple or Google.
9. Security
Data is protected in transit, access to each account’s data is restricted to that account, and secrets are kept on the server and not in the app. No system is perfectly secure.
10. Children
Atlas is for adults. Setup asks you to confirm that you are 18 or over, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own.
12. Your choices and rights
You can edit your preferences, pantry and lists in the app, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live you may have further rights (such as access or correction).
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its “Last updated” date when this policy changes.
14. Contact
Questions about this policy or your information: our support team (contact details are being finalised).
